2013 Nissan GT-R: was unveiled today, with the Japanese carmaker releasing all the details of the updated version of the supercar. For the 2013 model year, Nissan is offering an even more powerful version of the GT-R, which also features several design changes. Nissan's 2013 GT-R has 20 PS and 20 Nm of torque more than the 2012 version. This means the total output of the car is now 550PS at 6,400rpm and 632Nm of torque between 3,200 and 5,800 rpm.
To get the extra horsepowers, Nissan improved the 2013 GT-R's intake efficiency, exhaust emissions efficiency and enhanced its control. The 2013 GT-R has a lower airflow resistance thanks to a modified intake manifold, and a smaller and lighter under floor catalyser. Other changes brought by the 2013 GT-R's engine include new valve control and ignition timings, a new air mixture ratio, and a metallic sodium-filled exhaust valve.
