2013 BMW M5: The color choices for both the M5 and the M6 are decidedly non-sporty, with the paint choices on offer consisting largely of dark earth tones. One notable exception is the bright Monte Carlo Blue, pictured on the M5 above, and the darker San Marino Blue available on the M6. Att least a manual transmission is a no-cost option on the ultimate 5. (A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is the alternative choice.)

As for the cars’ available options, there aren’t many: Shoppers can swap their M5 or M6’s standard 19-inch wheels for 20-inch light aluminum rollers for an extra $1300, and both Bimmers offer a $1900 Driver Assistance package and a $5300–$5500 Executive package. Buyers can further spec their large M car with a head-up display, night vision with pedestrian detection, and more for more money, of course.
