Written By Admin on Sunday, 11 November 2012 | 04:53

2012 Yellow Range Rover: Tuned cars are much more over-the-top there than in any other place. Looking a bit like a footballer?s car, this yellow bird is the work of tuners Overfinch and is built exclusively for the Chinese market, according to CarBuzz.

The car shot by Chinese site AutoHome, sits in a JLR dealership there and despite being based on a large and imposing SUV, it almost kisses the ground. The China Edition is powered by the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 and is good for 503 hp.

2013 Land Rover Ranger Rover

Written By Admin on Wednesday, 24 October 2012 | 18:04

2013 Land Rover Ranger Rover: will save up to 926 pounds, the U.S.-specification V-8 models will tip the scales at 700 pounds less than the outgoing 2012 model. Significant weight savings like that can make a serious impact in fuel economy and emissions, though as yet, Land Rover hasn't revealed just how much smaller the Range Rover's carbon footprint will be. The Range Rover's huge weight savings--about 12 percent of its total weight is brought about by the new all-aluminum unibody.

And front and rear structures in place of the outgoing model's steel structures. Along with being lighter, the Range Rover is now more spacious inside. Rear legroom grows 4.7 inches, offering easier access and more comfort for second-row passengers. Materials are, of course, exquisite, keeping with the Range Rover legacy, and the design themes reflect the brand's history while incorporating some of the latest technology, too.

2013 Range Rover Sport

Written By Admin on Thursday, 2 August 2012 | 14:07

2013 Range Rover Sport: Land Rover who still hasn't officially dubbed the production model the LRX says that both 2WD and 4WD versions of the vehicle will be on sale in 2011 followed in 2013 by a diesel hybrid. Previously, Land Rover had admitted to working on a plug-in hybrid diesel-electric version of their popular Range Rover Sport, which they said could be able to go 20 miles on a charge, have a 20 minute fast charge time and go on sale in 2012.

This is the first we've heard of other models in the Range Rover line up getting the hybrid treatment although it certainly makes more sense to do it to a smaller vehicle. The 2013 Range Rover Sport hybrid electric is part to the company's large family of Land Rovers that will be launched in 2013, and it looks like the full hybrid will be launched initially, then a plug-in hybrid is expected to follow in 2015.The British car maker will begin tests with the 2013 Range Rover Sport hybrid electric at the end of this year.

2012 Range Rover Evoque

Written By Admin on Thursday, 19 July 2012 | 14:44

2012 Range Rover Evoque: The Evoque is also quicker than the GLK – and gets much better gas mileage and has a far more sophisticated (and standard equipment) all-wheel-drive system. The only thing the Benz has over the Evoque, in terms of objective criteria, is price. You can buy a GLK (with the optional 4Matic AWD) for $37,500 a gaping $6,500 less than the Evoque’s base price.

A more threatening competitor is the BMW X3. The price gap is not as wide – $42,700 for the XDrive35i – and the BMW is a hot rod (0-60 in 5.6 seconds). Its gas mileage (19 city, 26 highway) is also only a few clicks off the Evoque’s. But it’s not the head-turner the Evoque is on road – and its xDrive AWD system is more one-sided (that is, street-minded) than the Evoque’s more versatile and off-road-capable system.

2012 Range Rover HSE

Written By Admin on Monday, 16 July 2012 | 05:18

2012 Range Rover: is available in four trims: base HSE, HSE Lux, Supercharged and Autobiography. The 2012 Range Rover has two versions of its 5.0-liter V8, depending on the trim level you choose, and both are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base 2012 Range Rover HSE and the HSE Lux come with a version of the V8 that makes 375 horsepower and 375 pound-feet of torque.

Upgrading to the aptly-named 2012 Range Rover Supercharged trim gets you a supercharged version of the V8 that makes 510 horsepower and 461 pound-feet of torque. Unfortunately, all of this power combined with a heavy curb weight and full-time four-wheel drive results in depressingly low fuel economy ratings.
