2013 Buick Encore SUV: is smaller than the Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain, and shares some similarities with the Chevrolet Sonic. Autoblog says, “Like the Sonic, the Encore relies on the 1.4-liter turbo four backed by a Hydramatic six-speed automatic, and the powertrain is tuned to deliver 140 horsepower at 4,900 rpm and 148 pound-feet at 1,850 rpm." Inside, the 2013 Encore offers seating for five and up to 48.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded.
Available features include Buick’s IntelliLink infotainment system, remote start, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel and a Bose sound system. Additionally, Buick has employed an active noise cancelling system inside the Encore, which uses roof-mounted microphones that detect engine noise. To keep the cabin quiet, the system will play counteracting sound waves through the stereo speakers, which eliminate the noise.
